SUMMARY:
The Fiesta of Five Flags Foundation and Mrs. Maria Davis, the Honorary Vice Consul of Spain, is requesting a fee waiver for docking of the Juan Sebastian de Elcano Spanish Naval Sailing Ship (Elcano) at Plaza de Luna from March 31, 2019 to April 5, 2019. The Elcano’s visit will be hosted as part of her celebration of the 500 year anniversary of the first Circumnavigation of the Globe by the Magelian-Elcano expedition. Tours of the ship will be free and open to the public.
The value of the fee waiver request is estimated at $13,256.40 for the 5-day stay. Waiver of associated “hard costs” (such as potable water, tug charges, pilotage fees, etc.) is not requested. The waiver request is attached.
