Review for New Entry Doors

BACKGROUND:
Carter Quina is seeking approval to replace the front entry doors at the Rex Theater. The existing wood doors will be replaced with new painted aluminum doors with impact rated glass and applied trim matching the exiting elements. The window units have been resigned to more closely resemble the existing.
An abbreviated review for this project was referred to the full board in April 2022. A similar packet for a redesign of the doors was also reviewed by the board in November 2021. That packet showed window units that extended down the door. The motion at that meeting was to approve replacement doors that matched the existing in size, shape, window size, and applied decoration, but that the door materials themselves could be any material that maintained the solid flat visual of the existing. The November 2021 materials and meeting minutes are provided as reference.
