Addition of a Rear Ramp and Storm Windows at a Contributing Structure

BACKGROUND:
The City of Pensacola CRA is requesting, on behalf of the owner, approval for exterior modifications to a contributing structure. The scope of work includes the addition of a handicap accessibility ramp to the rear of the building and the installation of 17 storm windows. All elements of the ramp will be constructed from pressure treated wood which will remain unpainted. In addition, there will be a new set of stairs perpendicular to the existing steps. A site plan, elevation drawings, photographs, and a design example have been included.
The proposed storm windows will be aluminum and were chosen since they match other ARB-approved materials from other projects at contributing structures. The storm protectors will be the same color as the existing windows and will cover all the historic wood windows.
