SUMMARY:
Upon being elected in the Primary Election on August 23, 2022, Mayor Reeves appointed Capt. Tim Kinsella as Chair of the Mayoral Transition Team and together selected members based on their unique expertise. The Mayoral Transition Team’s mission was to provide forward-looking and achievable recommendations in various focus areas to assist the Mayor in developing a strategic vision for the City of Pensacola for the benefit of all citizens. The guiding principles that Team Members were charged in bringing forward recommendations were Transparency, Be Aspirational, Be Realistic, Be Honest, Be Unafraid, and Be Useful.
The Mayoral Transition Team held several meetings beginning September 21st, 2022 through November 16th, 2022. In that time every Focus Area has met at least once offering community input sessions. The Focus Area Leaders have taken the public input from these meetings as well as information from meeting with City staff, feedback from industry professionals, and other resources and formulated recommendations which were compiled as the Mayoral Transition Team Report. This report will be presented to Mayor Reeves as a guide for his administration.
