That the Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) approve a fee waiver for docking of the Nao Trinidad, SSV Ernestina-Morrissey, Pride of Baltimore II, When and If and Glenn L Swetman at Plaza de Luna from April 27, 2023 to May 2, 2023 in support of the 2023 Tall Ships Festival provided that the CRA be promoted as an event sponsor.

SUMMARY:
Tall Ships Pensacola is requesting a fee waiver for docking of the Nao Trinidad, SSV Ernestina-Morrissey, Pride of Baltimore II, When and If and Glenn L Swetman at Plaza de Luna from April 27, 2023 to May 2, 2023 in support of the 2023 Tall Ships Festival.
The Tall Ships Festival is scheduled to be held April 28-30, 2023 and will host a variety of festivities at Plaza de Luna including Tall Ship viewing, tours and sail away excursions. Three of the five ships docked at Plaza de Luna will be available for tours and viewing throughout the event, the other two vessels (When and If and Glenn L. Swetman), will be available for sail away excursions.
The value of the waiver request for the docking of the Nao Trinidad, SSV Ernestina-Morrissey, Pride of Baltimore II, When and If and Glenn L Swetman at Plaza de Luna from April 27, 2023 to May 2, 2023 is estimated at $11,694.97 for the 5-day stay. The Tall Ships Pensacola Waiver Request, Cost Estimates and Berth Applications and a draft festival site plan are attached.
PRIOR ACTION:
1/8/2018 - The CRA approved a fee waiver for docking of 4 ships from April 12-16, 2018 in support of the 2018 Tall Ships Festival.
