That City Council allocate an additional $42,000 to Re-Entry Alliance Pensacola, Inc. for the Safe Outdoor Shelter at Camp One (the Pathways for Change property). A scope of services is attached.

SUMMARY:

 

During the transition of individuals from the I-110 encampment to alternative locations, some outdoor shelters were created pending the opening of the permanent shelters.

 

Safe Outdoor Shelter at Camp One (Pathways for Changer property) was one of those created, however no funding was allocated to fund this.  The requested funding amount is for four (4) months.

 

This item is a request for funding for this site, with a scope of work attached.

 

PRIOR ACTION:                     

 

August 12, 2021 - City Council allocated $3,000,000 of ARPA funds to homelessness reduction.

 

December 1, 2021 - City Council allocated $1,596,654 to certain organizations to assist in homelessness reduction.  The remainder was held by Council for future use.

Budget:                     $42,000

 

                     Actual:                     $42,000

 

 

FINANCIAL IMPACT:

                     

Reduction of $42,000 from the remaining $1,403,346 from the ARPA allocation of $3,000,000.
