RECOMMENDATION:

That City Council award Bid No. 21-039 Osceola Pole Barn Project to J. Miller Construction, Inc., of Pensacola, Florida the lowest and most responsible bidder with a base bid of $207,270.00 plus a 10% contingency in the amount of $20,727.00 for a total amount of $227,997.00. Further, that City Council authorize the Mayor to execute the contract and take all action necessary to complete the project.

SUMMARY:

                                          

The City issued Invitation to Bid No. 21-039 for construction of a Pole Barn at the Osceola Golf Course. The project will consist of the construction of one (1) steel building with four open bays, light fixtures, electrical outlets, and a concrete floor. The new building will house golf course equipment and operational materials.

 

PRIOR ACTION:                     

 

December 10, 2020 - City Council adopted Supplemental Budget Resolution No. 2020-59 carrying over the remaining balance of $157,521 from Fiscal Year 2020 to Fiscal Year 2021.

 

November 18, 2021 - City Council adopted Supplemental Budget Resolution No. 2021-102 which provided an additional $71,000.00 in LOST IV funding for the Osceola Golf Course.

      Actual:                     $207,270.00 Construction Contract

                                              20,727.00 10% Contingency

                                          $227,997.00 TOTAL

 

FINANCIAL IMPACT:

                     

Funding in the amount of $157,521.00 was carried forward on Supplemental Budget Resolution No. 2020-59.  City Council appropriated an additional $71,000.00 on Supplemental Budget Resolution No. 2021-102 for a total budgeted amount of $228,521.00 which should be sufficient to complete this project.
