That City Council approve acceptance of Florida Local Government Cyber Security Grant Agreement No. DMS-22-23-436 to provide for the implementation of Endpoint-Based Asset Discovery (Agent); Network-Based Asset Discovery (Agentless); Security Operations Platform, and that City Council authorize the Mayor to take the actions necessary relating to the acceptance and execution of this grant, consistent with the terms of the agreement and the Mayor’s Executive Powers as granted in the City Charter.

SUMMARY:
The Florida Local Government Cybersecurity Grant is a competitive grant program set up to provide cybersecurity technical assistance and capabilities to the state’s local governments to improve their cybersecurity posture and resiliency. This program is designed to be flexible with options to meet the unique needs of local governments from Pensacola to Key West, regardless of the local municipality’s capabilities, resources, or challenges.
The grant award will provide the City of Pensacola Innovation Technology Department the ability to improve their cyber security efforts for the City of Pensacola for capabilities for Endpoint-Based Asset Discovery (Agent); Network-Based Asset Discovery (Agentless); Security Operations Platform. In addition to software access for the capabilities offered, the Florida Digital Service will provide incident response assistance when requested and training, technical assistance and support for the capabilities granted.

FUNDING:
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
No financial impact is expected on the city’s part. The funding agency agrees to purchase all commodities or services awarded to the Grantee on behalf of the Grantee (City) for the duration of the grant award, or as long as funding exists. In the event funding no longer exists or grant award is terminated, The City would then need to incur the cost of all services and providers.
