SUMMARY:

 

This item refers to the Parks and Recreation Board for review and recommendation a proposed amendment to City Code Section 6-3-8 which includes the following language:

 

“,including pine straw which may be left on the ground or used for mulching and landscaping within the city of Pensacola. When necessary, parks from which pine straw is harvested should be prioritized for use.

 

Furthermore, groups or individuals engaged in the pruning of trees in city parks should consult with an arborist and seek approval of the director of Parks and Recreation.”
