That City Council require all board meetings of Council created boards to be cancelled for the month of April and tentatively schedule board meetings to resume in May; further, the City Council authorize the Planning Board, Architectural Review Board and Zoning Board of Adjustment to meet virtually in May if necessary.

SUMMARY:
Due to the COVID-19 virus and CDC recommendations, this item requests that City Council cancel all meetings of Council-created boards for the month of April. Given the uncertainty faced over the next few weeks, as well as stringent notice and advertising requirements of some of the boards, this item provides for board certainty through the month of April. By allowing the Planning Board, Architectural Review Board, and Zoning Board of Adjustment to meet in May using electronic means, if necessary, the City Council will give staff the flexibility to notice May meetings appropriately and make any necessary provisions for the use of technology to allow board members and/or the public to attend those particular board meetings remotely.
The April meetings being cancelled include, but are not limited to:
Planning Board
Architectural Review Board
Zoning Board of Adjustment
Parks and Recreation Board
Environmental Advisory Board
International Relations Advisory
