That City Council set the date of the first Climate adaptation and Mitigation Task Force meeting to take place no later than February 15, 2017 and the first meeting of the Port Economic Feasibility Study Committee to take place no later than March 15, 2017.

SUMMARY:
On August 28, 2014 the City Council adopted Resolution No. 29-14 referring the matter of creating a Climate Adaptation and Mitigation Task Force to the Environmental Advisory Board for recommendation to the City Council. On October 13, 2016 the City Council Appointed members to this Task Force. The intent of this action item is to schedule the first meeting of the Task Force to take place before February 15, 2017.
A Workshop was held on November 14, 2016 to discuss the formation of a Port Economic Feasibility Study Committee. Council staff was directed to make contact with potential committee members and report back to City Council. The intent of this action item is to schedule the first meeting of this committee to take place before March 15, 2017.
PRIOR ACTION:
October 13, 2016 - Council appointment of Climate Adaptation and Mitigation Task Force Members
November 14, 2016 - Workshop wherein Council directed Council Staff to contact potential committee members and report back to City Council.
