That City Council award a contract for construction of the Port of Pensacola Ferry Landing Waterside Features to Florida Floats Inc. dba Bellingham Marine, the only bidder with a base bid of $938,251 plus a 10% contingency of $93,825 for a total amount of $1,032,076.

SUMMARY:
The Ferry Landing Waterside Features construction project in Commendencia Slip, directly west of the Port of Pensacola, will include the installation of fender and dock anchoring piles, a floating dock, gangway, and transition platform to support the Pensacola Bay Ferry Service and the two 150 passenger only ferries. This contract is for the waterside components of the Ferry service and will tie into the landside elements of the ferry landing including the ticketing and restroom facility and shade structures to be completed as a separate project.

FINANCIAL IMPACT:
Grant funding in the amount of $2,722,798 has been appropriated for this project. To date, $239,220 has been expended/encumbered for the A&E Contract and Engineering Inspections leaving an available balance of $2,483,578 to complete both the Waterside and Landside Feature projects. Construction of the Landside Features will be awarded through a separate future bid process.
