That City Council, in accordance with Resolution No. 55-80 and Resolution No. 36-80 as well as prior CRA activities, refer to the CRA any potential redevelopment of the property known as Bruce Beach.

SUMMARY:

 

In August of 1980 the City Council passed Resolution No. 36-80 whereby the City Council declared its intent to cause the development of specific inner city properties for the public benefit, one of those properties was identified as Bruce Beach.

 

In September of 1980 the City Council passed Resolution No. 55-80 whereby the City Council created the Community Redevelopment Agency and further”

 

                     “dedicates and assigns certain undeveloped and underdeveloped properties identified in Resolution No. 36-80 to the Community Redevelopment Agency for the purpose of promoting, planning , packaging and accomplishing the redevelopment of said properties in accordance with the basic land use intent and methodology set forth in Resolution No. 36-80.”

 

Further in March of 2001, Jennifer Fleming the Executive Director of the CRA, recommended to the City Council that they approve a Service Authorization with Fabre Engineering in the amount not to exceed $20,527.83 for a boundary and topographic survey of the City - owned property referred to as the Trillium property and the City Council unanimously approved this request.

March 22, 2001 - City Council approved a recommendation from the Executive Director of the CRA
