UPDATE ON BLAKE DOYLE SKATE PARK AT HOLLICE T. WILLIAMS PARK AND HOLLICE T. WILLIAMS PARK RESTORE PROJECT

end

SUMMARY:

In October of 2016 a presentation was made before the City Council regarding the Blake Doyle Skate Park at Hollice T. Williams Park.  Within this presentation a request for land was made based on Upward Intuition designing and constructing the skate park.  The City was requested to then take the turnkey project and provide future maintenance.  To this, the City agreed.

In May of 2018, Jon Shell made a presentation before City Council wherein he requested that the City construct the skate park.

The understanding is that design and construction of the skate park is currently within a RESTORE project proposal for the Hollice T. Williams Park.

The purpose of this discussion item is to get an update on the status of the skate park and pending RESTORE project.
