RECOMMENDATION:

That City Council approve an amendment to extend Task Order 8, Natural Gas Pipeline Construction Miscellaneous Work, to R.A.W. Construction, LLC for 90 days for the period from October 1, 2018 through December 31, 2018 with a not to exceed amount of $250,000. Further, that Council authorize the Mayor to execute the amendment to the task order and take all actions necessary to complete the work.

SUMMARY:
Pensacola Energy is requesting an extension of Task Order 8 for unit price option miscellaneous work for natural gas pipeline maintenance, replacement, and new construction. Some work is still pending and the 90 day extension will allow progress to continue towards completion.
PRIOR ACTION:
November 26, 2016 - City Council approved a resolution authorizing a financing not to exceed $15 million to finance the acquisition and construction of certain capital improvements to the gas system.
March 8, 2018 - City Council awarded Task Order 8, Natural Gas Pipeline Construction Miscellaneous Work to R.A.W. Construction, LLC. for $549,300.

FINANCIAL IMPACT:
Funding is available in the Gas Utility Fund. Balances from the Florida Gas System Revenue Note, Series 2016 have been carried forward on supplemental budget resolutions each year to fund the capital improvements.
