SUMMARY:

The FDOT Beautification Grant offers funding in the amount of up to $100,000 for landscape improvements to state transportation facilities, such as Garden Street, with a suggested fifty-percent (50%) local match.   On September 10, 2018 and September 13, 2018, the Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) and City Council respectively authorized the CRA to apply for and accept a Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) Beautification Grant to provide landscape improvements to Garden Street from Alcaniz Street to North “A” Street.

The CRA has been awarded funding in the amount of $98,800 with an estimated $91,975 CRA match, however, a second resolution authorizing execution of the grant agreement is required to secure the funding and initiate the project. A copy of the resolution and agreement is attached. A separate resolution will be presented to both the CRA and City Council appropriating the grant funds.
