That the Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) award a contract for painting and fabrication services for the Palafox Pier Railing and Painting Project to D & R Painting, the lowest and most responsible bidder, with a base bid of $210,284.00, plus a 10% contingency of $21,028.40 for a total amount of $231,312.40.

SUMMARY:

                                          

On October 9, 2017, the Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) appropriated funds for the maintenance and improvement of amenities located within Plaza de Luna Park and along the Palafox Pier Promenade, including railings, benches, bollards and light poles.

 

Bid No. 19-018 was issued on March 22, 2019 for painting and fabrication services for the Palafox Pier Railing and Painting Project. The project includes painting the railings, fabrication and installation of new gates and painting of light poles, bollards and benches within the Plaza de Luna Park and along the Palafox Pier promenade. The solicitation closed on April 30, 2019. D & R Painting was the sole bidder, with a base bid of $210,284.00.

 

PRIOR ACTION:                     

 

October 9, 2017 - The CRA adopted Supplemental Budget Resolution No. 2017-14 CRA appropriating funds to maintenance and improvement of CRA amenities.

 

October 12, 2017 - City Council adopted Supplemental Budget Resolution No. 17-72 appropriating funds to maintenance and improvement of CRA amenities.
