SUMMARY:
The landscape architecture firm SCAPE identified two (2) catalytic projects for the downtown waterfront; Bruce Beach enhancement whereby it is reimagined as a cultural,
recreational and educational hub and the Hashtag Connector, converting Cedar Street into a low-speed, curbless “shared street,” open to both pedestrian and vehicular traffic.
The purpose of this discussion item is to allow Council to discuss their support of the items as well as providing the Mayor with a sense of direction as to the next steps to be taken.
