RECOMMENDATION:

That City Council schedule a special City Council meeting, to be conducted virtually, to allow for a presentation from County Administrator Janice Gilley explaining the County’s Emergency Pandemic Plan. Further that this special Council meeting and presentation take place prior to extending the Mayor’s Declaration of Emergency.

SUMMARY:
The City is covered by Escambia County’s Emergency Manager and operates under their CEMP, “Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan.”
This special meeting will allow for Council to obtain a better understanding of the County’s Emergency Pandemic Plan prior to extending the Mayor’s Declaration of Emergency.
