SUMMARY:

The Amendment to the SHIP Program Interlocal Agreement between the City of Pensacola and Escambia County was prepared to address changes to the Program passed during the 2020 State Legislative session.  The State legislature revised the requirements of the Affordable Housing Advisory Committee (AHAC) appointments in HB 1339, which requires that effective October 1, 2020, the AHAC must consist of one locally elected official from each county or municipality participating in the SHIP Program. The Amendment addresses how those appointments will be made by each jurisdiction.

The City of Pensacola and Escambia County jointly administer the SHIP program through an Interlocal Agreement approved by City Council on April 11, 2019.
