That City Council approve the Memorandum of Agreement with Escambia County relating to Solid Waste Services. Further, that City Council authorize the Mayor to take all actions necessary relating to the execution of this agreement.

SUMMARY:
During the current year, the City of Pensacola Sanitation Services shall provide collection services for four (4) additional Neighborhood Clean-up events within the unincorporated areas of Escambia County. The City of Pensacola Sanitation Services will provide collection services for a minimum of 1200 homes per event. Waste collected will include yard trash and bulky waste. Waste collected during the events shall be disposed of by the City at the Escambia County Landfill facility at no cost to the City. In exchange for the collection services provided by the City, Escambia County agrees to provide the City Sanitation Services a credit towards the City’s landfill tip fees in the amount of $36,800.00.

May 28, 2020 - City Council approved the Amendment to Interlocal Agreement between the City of Pensacola and Escambia County for exchange of solid waste services
