A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND MAKING REVISIONS AND APPROPRIATIONS FOR THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 2020; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

SUMMARY:

                                          

The Pensacola Fire Department has been awarded a Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) FY 2019 Grant to replace the aged self-contained breathing apparatus of the entire Fire Department.  The total project cost to replace the self-contained breathing apparatus is $619,115.84.  The replacements are required as the currently owned self-contained breathing apparatus are not upgradeable.  

 

PRIOR ACTION:                     

 

September 16, 2020 - City Council adopted Budget Resolution No. 2020-43, which included an appropriation of $95,200 in the Local Option Sales Tax Series IV plan for the City’s grant match portion.

 

FUNDING:                     

 

     Budget:                     $ 562,833.00                      FEMA Assistant to Firefighters Grant (Federal Funds)
