Request for Aesthetic Review - Minor Exterior Revisions to the Hilton Garden Inn

BACKGROUND:

 

Randy Maxwell, SMP Architecture, is requesting approval of minor exterior design changes to the previously approved Hilton Garden Inn located on the corner of 9th Avenue and Colfax Street. The original application for a 108 room, 4 story Hilton Garden Inn was approved by the Gateway Review Board on June 16, 2018. 

Summary of revisions:

•                     Adding brick to the vertical elevation elements

•                     Metal panel insets removed.

•                     Horizontal fiber cement board (resembles horizontal siding) added at selct locations.

•                     Parapet details simplified.

•                     Look of west facing elevation (9th Ave) retained.

•                     All window locations and styles retained.

 

All relevant documentation is included for your review.  The application has been routed through the applicable review agencies and their comments are attached.
