RECOMMENDATION:

That City Council award a contract to A.E. New, Jr., Inc. for ITB 21-017 East Pensacola Heights Clubhouse Renovations for $50,900.00 base bid, $9,500.00 additive alternate, and a 10% contingency of $6,040.00 for a total amount of $66,440.00. Further, that City Council authorize the Mayor to take all actions necessary to execute all contracts, related documents and to complete the project.

SUMMARY:
The City issued an invitation to bid on the East Pensacola Heights Clubhouse Renovation project. The project will consist of renovations to the kitchen cabinets, flooring, and countertops as well as replacing toilet partitions, and flooring in the restrooms. An optional add-on to install new entry doors for the front and side was also included.
The base bid of $50,900.00 includes general renovations including replacing the floor, cabinets and countertops in the kitchen, and replacing the partitions and flooring in the bathrooms. The bid alternate of $9,500.00 includes installation of new entry doors on the front and side of the building.

FINANCIAL IMPACT:
Funding in the amount of $130,000.00 has been appropriated in the Local Option Sales Tax (LOST IV) for upgrades to the stage, restroom renovations and HVAC replacement. The HVAC has been replaced in a prior fiscal year. No additional funding should be necessary for this project.
