SUMMARY:
City Attorney, Susan Woolf’s resignation will take effect July 31, 2021. Mr. Peppler has accepted the position of City Attorney. The City Charter Section 4.01(a)(5), wherein the Mayor has the power and duty:
(5) To appoint a City Attorney, with the consent of the City Council by an
affirmative vote of a majority of City Council Members, and who may be removed by the Mayor with the consent of the City Council by an affirmative vote of a majority of the City Council Members.
Mr. Peppler has accepted the Mayor’s appointment to serve as city Attorney pending City Council approval July 15, 2021.
Currently Charles Peppler is Deputy County Attorney, with Escambia County in Pensacola, Florida. Charles Peppler has over 30 years combined experience in Litigation, Legal Advice and Local Government.
