SUMMARY:
The League of Women Voters donated a live oak tree which was planted in Bryan Park. The League has requested that a plaque be placed by this tree in honor and memory of Ann Davis.
Ms. Davis served as Membership Chair and Co-President of the League of Women Voters Pensacola Bay Area. Ms. Davis’ efforts and dedication to the League and its principles were tireless and inspiring to all in the organization. The planting of the tree and placement of a plaque will be a wonderful way to honor Ms. Davis and to serve as a symbol of longevity, tranquility and life itself by providing shelter and shade as well as adding to the appearance of the Library landscape. Ms. Davis was seen as someone who treated the world with dignity and respect.
PRIOR ACTION:
May 20, 2021 - Parks and Recreation Board approved the dedication and placement of a plaque at Bryan Park near a tree planted to honor Ann Davis.

Any cost associated with this item will be borne by the Parks and Recreation Department and/or through private donation.
