SUMMARY:

As part of the $2 trillion CARES Act, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program was allocated $5 billion.  As an Entitlement Community, the City received an additional allocation of $463,126 in CDBG-Coronavirus (CV) Program funds.

On June 17, 2021, City Council approved an amendment to the CDBG FY 2019 Annual Action Plan, which identified an activity to support low and moderate income households in efforts to prevent, prepare for, and respond to the coronavirus.  This activity includes assistance addressing the needs of the homeless community in responding to COVID-19.

HUD has approved the plan amendment and has allocated grant funds for the program implementation.
