SUMMARY:
The Roger Scott Tennis Center is leased by a for profit organization, the Gulf Coast Tennis Group, LLC.
This item seeks to discuss the feasibility of this arrangement through the answering of, but not limited to, the following questions:
1. A legal opinion as to the status of the MOU with Gulf Coast Tennis Group, LLL, as their MOU has expired almost a year ago. Attached is a copy of the MOU.
2. A list of all sources of revenue collected by the Gulf Coast Tennis Group, LLC.
3. The amount of revenue Gulf Coast Tennis Group, LLC has collected for the years 2019. 2020, 2021.
4. How much the Gulf Coast Tennis Group, LLC received in Covid Payroll Protection funds.
5. How much it cost the city to maintain the Roger Scott Tennis Center.
6. Before another contract is entered into with Gulf Coast Tennis Group, LLC a feasibility study to determine if it would be more cost effective for the city to operate the Roger Scott Tennis Center rather than a for profit organization.
7. Who made the decision to change the plans approved by council to rehabilitate the 18 hard courts and devise another plan not approved by the city council.
