That City Council consent to the Mayor’s appointment of Adrian Stills as Parks and Recreation Director of the City of Pensacola in accordance with the City Charter Section 4.01(a)(7).

SUMMARY:

                                          

City Charter Section 4.01 (a) (7) - Powers and Duties of the Mayor states:

 

(7) To appoint the head of each department, with the consent of the City Council by an affirmative vote of a majority of City Council Members.

 

The Mayor and City Administration has selected Adrian Stills to serve as the new director to Parks and Recreation Department.

 

Adrian Stills has an extensive professional background in business management, event planning, outdoor recreation, and parks management. He has been a loyal member of the City of Pensacola since 2004 serving as the General Manager to the City of Pensacola Osceola Golf Course. Since March 2022, Adrian Stills has been serving as the Interim Parks and Recreation Director and has led in a very professional manner. The Parks and Recreation Department and City will not only be receiving a highly qualified individual as the director, but will also, and more importantly, fill the position with an incredible person. The City of Pensacola will be fortunate to have his services leading the Parks and Recreation Department.
