SUMMARY:
Former City Attorney Lysia Bowling resigned her position as City Attorney effective January 11, 2019. Ms. Bowling has accepted the position of City Contract and Lease Counsel. The City Charter Article V, Section 5.03 calls for the Mayor to appoint a City Attorney with consent from City Council. Ms. Woolf has accepted the Mayor’s appointment to serve as City Attorney pending City Council approval January 17, 2019. Rusty Wells will be acting City Attorney in the interim.
PRIOR ACTION:
March 12, 2015 - City Council consented to the appointment of Ms. Lysia Bowling, as City Attorney unanimously 5-0 with Councilmembers Cannada-Wynn and Bare absent for the vote.
